Player of the Game: Freshman Maliyah "MJ" Jarrett Makes Explosive Debut for Bethel Christian
Bethel Christian fought hard against Fontana High School, holding the lead through each inning until the fifth, when Fontana surged ahead to claim a 22-12 victory.
Despite the loss, freshman catcher Maliyah "MJ" Jarrett had a debut to remember, earning Player of the Game honors in her first high school game. MJ was unstoppable at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4, including one single and three tremendous home runs, racking up an incredible eight RBIs.
Defensively, MJ showed her grit behind the plate, making a huge play by throwing down to third base to stop a Fontana runner from stealing.
An incredible start to her high school career—Bethel Christian is excited to see what’s ahead for MJ this season!
