Player(s) of the Game – Bethel Christian vs. Cornerstone Christian (Varsity Softball)
In a dominant 19-7 league victory over Cornerstone Christian, Bethel Christian secured the win in just five innings by mercy rule. Two standout underclassmen, sophomore Samantha Arellano and freshman Finlee Milhouse, earned Co-Player of the Game honors for their exceptional all-around performances.
Samantha Arellano was a force defensively at second base during the first half of the game. She turned two sharp line drives into double plays, finishing the day with three putouts and one assist. At the plate, Samantha stayed perfect, going 2-for-2 with a pair of singles, one run scored, and two stolen bases.
Finlee Milhouse continued her impressive season with another strong showing on both sides of the ball. Offensively, she went 2-for-3 with a double and a triple, driving in four runs, swiping four bases, and scoring four times over five plate appearances. On defense, Finlee made a highlight-reel catch in left field while colliding with the shortstop and held on for the out. Later, she added another putout and assist to cap off her defensive contributions.
These two young players played like seasoned veterans, helping to lead Bethel Christian to a big league win.
